Specific Prone Adjusting

Dr. Roger Sperry, a nobel prize winning scientist, stated “90% of the stimulation and nutrition to the brain is generated by movement of the spine.” When there are areas in the spine that are not moving correctly, the brain is being starved of the essential information it needs to function at 100%.

Drs. Lauren and Jimmy utilize a technique known as "specific prone" to locate, analyze, and correct the areas of joint dysfunction. Specific Prone is a very soft, gentle, and highly effective technique.

Intersegmental Traction

This therapy is a way of inducing passive motion into the spine for the purpose of stretching spinal joints and increasing joint mobility.

How does it work?

Much like a bed, you lay on your back face up. Then a mechanical roller begins to move up and down your spine. This causes joint mechanoreceptors and proprioceptors to fire, giving essential stimulation to the brain.

How does it feel?

On most people this will be a relaxing, and very enjoyable form of therapy.

Dr. Jimmy and Dr. Lauren are both certified in the Webster Technique through the ICPA. This is a specific chiropractic analysis and diversified adjustment that is commonly used on pregnant moms. Drs. Lauren and Jimmy's goal when using this technique is to reduce spinal misalignments and neuro-biomechanical imbalances allowing the body to function optimally. Due to the changes in weight, posture, and hormones, chiropractic care plays a crucial role in having the healthiest pregnancy and birth as possible. Drs. Lauren and Jimmy love to check children as early as possible because they feel that it is so important to make sure their nervous system is functioning optimally while they are growing.
